In the confirmation e-mail, we will request your drafts (bullet points or continuous prose are fine - try not to feel too self-conscious) so that we can start working together as soon as possible.

We will also request your earliest availability for an intake call. We offer communication via text, zoom, FaceTime, and phone call. Please don’t hesitate to let us know what method of contact works best for you.

Each purchase is non-refundable and there are no cash refunds. However, in exceptional circumstances, the purchase value of one Brown Editing service may be transferrable to a different Brown Editing service in the form of a store credit (equal to or less than the value of the service previously purchased.)

In exceptional circumstances, Brown Editing LLC also reserves the right to refund up to 50% of the cost of purchase to the client subject to the determination of Brown Editing LLC’s executive board.

Yes and no - it depends on the day. If you are looking for a same day service, please contact browneditingllc@gmail.com as soon as possible with your project’s details and budget.

Same-day services are subject to a rush-fee, which is a minimum of $100 depending on the nature of the service and/or package requested.

Yes! Allison will do her absolute best to ensure that you are satisfied with your essay for the singular price that you pay for any bundle, package, or service.

However, as Brown Editing’s clientele continues to grow, we must clarify that “unlimited” means substantial performance in the context of Brown Editing’s services. “Unlimited” essentially means that Allison has performed a maximum of 5-7 editing cycles on your materials (where you send Allison (browneditingllc@gmail.com) your edits, and she will reply with commentary for a total of 5-7 editing exchanges.) It is uncommon (and unheard of at Brown Editing) to need more than 5 cycles of editing.

Any bundle, service, or package that requires more than 5-7 editing cycles will toll the “unlimited” warranty, and require the additional purchase of a package or an individual, a la carte, editing cycle.

In the rare event that you do not obtain admission to any of the schools that you apply to*, you will qualify for heavily discounted or free services for your second admissions cycle.
